Do you know when tax day is? Most people know April 15th to be Tax Day when personal income taxes are due each year. This year (2023) April 15th falls on a Saturday so Tax Day moves to the next business day which is Monday April 17th. However, April 17th is the day which Washington D.C. recognizes Emancipation Day since Emancipation Day is April 16th which is a Sunday this year. Therefore, Tax Day in 2023 is actually Tuesday, April 18th.
